About

Mitch Allen Photography
Equipment

Currently my landscape camera in use is a K.B. Canham 4x5 film camera with Caltar and Schneider Lenses ranging from wide angle to telephoto. My film choices are mostly Velvia 100, but I also enjoy shooting Provia 100f for high contrast scenes. Digital manipulations for some scanned negatives are cropping, dodging, burning and minor color correction. My filters in use include polarizer's and Lee graduated neutral density filters. No color filter's were used on the field or on the computer as only natural light was recorded.

For all my other photography I utilize a digital camera to capture my intended scene. The use of supplemental lighting is essential in creating many of my images from architecture to sports. I use a blend of strobes, smaller flashes and tungsten lights to ensure only the highest quality imagery.
